LED Rail
LED dimmable Studio Lights
Not blinded by the light
I needed some light sources for my studio setup. I had very strict requirements regarding size, color temperature, power consumption, heat-dissipation, dimmability, compatibility, mounting, weight and of course: price. The result can be seen on the photos below. The basic concept relies on of the shelf extruded aluminium rails that have a very interesting cross section design allowing a good cooling performance. The whole design is based on a few structural element that give the lights a rigid body while keeping it absolutely lightweight. I use for all my lights the same spigot studio connector. The endcaps allow for up to 3 filter inserts. I mostly use them with a high diffusion acrylic filter that does not blind the person in front of the light (me) and smoothing it to a very soft point.
