Vesa Plate
SubText
Mounting ALL THE THINGS
The VESA Standard is a great way to mount things. The hardware to mount displays can be bought for cheap and they all come with the standard 4-hole "interface" to mount a display. But because it is such a great standard, it is a waste to only use it for displays. There are so many opportinitiies for using VESA mount in all kind of situations. Over the years I came up with my own adapter plate that can be mounted to the 4 bolt VESA standard and extending it use to a varitiy of mounting options. Mount a camera. Mount a keyboard. Mounting a Notebook. Mounting a micropfone.
The Vesa plates helps me to keep these scenarios wide open. This VESA Plate is basically a pattern of holes that can carry M3 brass inserts in any configuration you need. From here on you can again extend the plate with additional mounting blocks. You could also always start from the 4 bolt system, but abstracting it once to the M3 pattern plate makes it much more versatile for me to use in many scanrios.Think of it as a boiler plate for mountings options.
